1. Where are your cabins located?
Our cabins are located in and around the town of Blue Ridge, Georgia. Blue Ridge is about 90 miles north of Atlanta in the North Georgia Mountains. Out of respect for our cabin owners and other guests, we do not give out the address or driving directions to any of our cabins until Check-In time at our office.
2. Are your cabins secluded?
To a degree, yes. Our cabins offer the best of both worlds – the peaceful privacy of a mountain cabin with the convenience of the city of Blue Ridge just a short drive away. In most cases, our cabins are located in small cabin communities. Such locations offer amenities like digital television, highspeed internet, and easy road access while still maintaining the cabins' seclusion and privacy with large wooded lots.
3. What is there to do in Blue Ridge, GA?
Fannin County Georgia (Blue Ridge and the surrounding area) is about 40% United States Forest Service owned land. Our area offers almost limitless possibilities for enjoying the great outdoors – whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, boating, and swimming are just a few. The town of Blue Ridge also offers several art galleries, antique shops, homemade furniture/craft stores, restaurants, and much more. To read more about things to do in our area, visit the Things to Do section.
4. Is there a minimum stay for any of your cabins?
Most of our cabins have no minimum stay - it is perfectly acceptable to stay for a single night. For all of our cabins there is a minimum stay of 2 nights on holidays.
5. Are pets allowed at your cabins?
Pets are permitted in most of our cabins. There is a pet fee of $10 per night, per pet, and a $150 pet deposit (refunded upon inspection of cabin). Pets must be housed in a crate when you are away from the cabin. As a guest, you are completely responsible and liable for any damage caused by your pet(s).
6. How many people can stay at a cabin?
Each cabin has a maximum occupancy based on the number of available beds. While numbers range from cabin to cabin, most of our cabins sleep 6-8 people. Please remember that the nightly fees for our cabins only cover up to 4 adults. Additional adult guests are $20 per person, per night. Children age 12 and under stay for free.
7. Is it possible to check in early (before 3PM)?
Sorry, but no. In addition to the possibility of previous guests still being present at the cabin, we like to make sure that our cleaning crew can thoroughly clean the cabin and prepare it for your visit.
8. Is it possible to check out late (past 10AM)?
Late check outs are possible provided there are no guests scheduled to arrive on your check-out day. If you check out past 10AM, you will be charged a $50 late check-out fee.
9. Can I pay with cash on arrival?
We accept credit cards only. We do not accept cash, checks, money orders or travelers checks.
10. Do you offer discounts for booking more than one cabin at a time?
We do not currently offer any discounts for multiple books.
11. Do you offer discounts for AARP, military, police, gas prices, etc?
We do not currently offer any specialty discounts. The only exception to this rule is Bear Tracks Lodge, which offers a discount for Fire, Police, and EMS professionals.
12. Can we clean the cabin ourselves and avoid paying the cleaning fee?
Sorry, but no. We do not waive the cleaning fee.
13. Is firewood provided for cabins with fireplaces/fire pits?
If you are in a cabin with a wood burning stove, fireplace, or firepit, we will provide a 3 day supply of wood (about 60 pieces) for an additional fee of $45.
14. I have a small car – will it be able to reach the cabin?
In most cases, yes. Please check the description of your cabin – any cabin that has a difficult access road will be noted in the cabin description.
15. What is your cancellation policy?
There is a $30 administration fee for all cancellations. If you cancel less than 14 days before the check-in date, there will be no refund.
